Today we went to Köln and it was one of the coldest summer days i've ever experienced. we went on a private tour of the cathedral. this was an awe inspiring event as well as a terrifying one. went to street side cafe. left the wine glass out, and drank a toast to never.
all the people were dancing and having so much fun. i found value in the same stones of slate and sand.
walking through the arcades of the Cathedral
Hemisphere Tower?
the workers got tired of leafs and made portraits
the Rhine River
see the people up there. this view is from the roof, there was only a 2 foot rail, i was thing of death and death alone. but i put on a winning smile.
we took a elevator to the roof, 150 feet above the plaza!
the swallow's nest organ, one of three in the Cathedral. it is hanging from the ceiling and not bolted to the walls!
the remains of the 3 wise men. this is why they built such a grand church. golden tombs
Köln cathedral is the tallest church in Germany and took 637 years to complete.
my first BONSAI sighting!!

Medieval archeological site
an old villa from 16th century, there was a wedding taking place there. In germany it is more important to get married in the civil center rather than the church. you can't get married in a church alone. this villa was a fancy civil center.
the finial flower. this is what is on top of each of the 2 main spires. just for scale.

it was so big, i could get the whole thing in 1 shot!
